The photo below is our inspiration and you can read my 33-word effort underneath. Click on the photo to read more entries and be sure to comment and vote - there's some wicked (as in brilliant) imaginations and writing over there. There's also a great 2-minute video showing the passing year. The photo is a compilation by Eirik Solheim of different days throughout the year, taken at the same location in Oslo, Norway. Enjoy!
Circles
Every moment before birth; trees smile, the sun winks, leaves cavort. They may rest, but they always return. Daily, monthly, yearly… Life is a rainbow. Open your eyes; you will be reborn, too.
I love your imagery! Smiling trees, a winking sun and leaves that cavort! And your last line is so perfectly true-that's what nature does for me-helps me feel renewed and reborn! Lovely 33 words!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Thank you, Valerie! Means a lot coming from your good self!
DeleteSmile back at those trees!
A rainbow... I love that kind of life.. and natures should help us see that renewal..
ReplyDeleteThanks Bjorn, totally agree. It{s Monday morning and am of to the woods right now to be reborn!
DeleteThis is a bright, sunny piece!
ReplyDeleteCheers Draug. I'm happier with sunny prompts than I am with cloudy ones!
DeleteOh, lovely - you did a fantastic job bringing together the two parts of the prompt: the photo/video, and the plea for "soul-soaring happiness."
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
DeleteThis feels very hopeful. I love it.
ReplyDeleteCheers Ashley. As a half-full kind of person hope and happiness come more readily to me!
DeleteLoved your poem, by the way.
Despite its tantrums, nature is never-endingly peaceful for its effect it has on me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the read and comment, Jo-Anne!
